Terms and Conditions

Minzo is a mobile app that helps you understand food products by scanning their barcodes.

These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') govern your use of the Minzo app and services ('App', 'Service') operated by Minzo LLC ('we', 'us', 'our').

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Minzo.

Minzo shows product information for scanned barcodes: nutrition values, ingredients, allergens, additives, Nutri-Score, processing level (NOVA) and the Minzo Health Score.

Nutri-Score and the Health Score are calculated with fixed formulas from the product data; they are not generated by AI.

AI features: Minzo AI chat, AI insights, product summaries and the search for products that are not yet in our database use artificial intelligence (Google Gemini). AI-generated content can be incomplete or wrong.

Other features include your scan history, favorites, healthier alternatives, baskets, the Health tab, product comparison, alerts and food safety news.

Product data comes from Open Food Facts, manufacturers' information and web search, and may be incomplete, outdated or differ from the package in your hand.

Minzo is for general information only and is not medical, dietary or nutritional advice.

An account is required to use Minzo.

You can sign up with email and password, Google or Apple.

Please give accurate information and keep your login details safe.

You are responsible for activity under your account.

You can delete your account at any time in the App.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Use Minzo only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.

Do not misuse the Service, try to break its security, or interfere with other users.

Do not use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access the App or its data.

Do not reverse engineer, copy or resell the App or its data.

Only contribute photos and information you have the right to share, and do not submit misleading content.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

The App, its design, software and the Minzo Health Score method belong to Minzo LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Minzo, the Minzo logo and Minzo AI are names and marks of Minzo LLC.

You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the App.

Open Food Facts data is used under the Open Database License (ODbL).

You keep ownership of the content you submit.

By contributing product photos or information, you allow us to use them to add and improve products in our database.

Some features are available only with a paid subscription; the features and limits of each plan are shown in the App before you buy.

Subscriptions are purchased through your Apple App Store account and renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.

Prices are shown in the App. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account; any free trial ends when the subscription starts.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (also reachable from Account → Subscription in the App). Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Plan limits (for example daily AI requests) may apply and are shown in the App.

Minzo is provided 'as is' and 'as available'.

We do not guarantee that product information, scores or AI content are complete, current or error-free.

Scores, alerts, insights and AI answers are general information, not medical advice.

Always read the product label, especially if you have an allergy or a medical condition.

Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making medical or dietary decisions.

Do not rely on Minzo alone to decide whether a product is safe for you.

To the extent permitted by law, Minzo LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We are not responsible for decisions you make based on product information, scores or AI content.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

You may stop using Minzo and delete your account at any time in the App.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

When your account is closed, your right to use the App ends.

Your data is then handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Rights and obligations that arose before termination remain.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Baku, Azerbaijan.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring claims in your local courts.

Disputes will otherwise be handled by the courts of Wyoming.

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest stays in effect.

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Minzo LLC about the App.

We may update these Terms when the App or the law changes.

We will inform you in the App about important changes before they take effect.

The 'Last updated' date above shows the current version.

If you continue to use Minzo after the changes take effect, the updated Terms apply.

If you do not agree with the changes, you can delete your account.
