Each score shows something different:
1.
Nutri-Score (A–E): the European nutrition rating, calculated from the label with the 2023 rules. A is best.
2.
Health Score (0–100): based on the Nutri-Score, adjusted for processing and additives.
3.
Processing (NOVA 1–4): from unprocessed (1) to ultra-processed (4).
4.
Additives: each additive is rated low, medium or high risk.
•
Health Score bands: 80+ excellent, 60–79 good, 40–59 fair, 20–39 poor, below 20 very poor.
•
'Not enough data' means the label is missing energy, sugars, saturated fat or salt — so we don't guess a score.
•
A high-risk additive caps the Health Score at 49, ultra-processed food at 59.
